Young Scientist Tanzania
For the second year running Radar were delighted to support the Young Scientist Tanzania exhibition in Dar es Salaam this October. The event welcomed students and teachers from schools across the country to showcase their chosen science project and we were overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and energy of all of those involved.
The winners of YST 2013 were Jafari Ndagula and Fidel Samwel from Ilongero Secondary School in Singida region with their project "A Drip Irrigation System using recycled materials.
The Radar Education prize for innovation and school engagement went to Isack Shayo and Adil Salum from Loyola Secondary School and their project “Application of computer technology in learning of mathematics”.
Radar Education will be delighted to visit Loyola School later in the month to celebrate their project.
The Young Scientist concept aims to popularize science among young people through a competition in which both schools and students can take part. See www.youngscientists.co.tz
